🌸 About Sofia
Sofia Brielle’ Bennett-Tidwell was more than a talented softball player — she was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her.
From the moment she was born, Sofia carried a gentle strength and kindness that defined who she was. She was the kind of child parents dream about — calm, joyful, and content, with a smile that made people feel instantly at ease. She rarely complained, never sought attention for herself, and always chose kindness first.
Softball quickly became one of Sofia’s greatest passions. She loved the game not only for the competition, but for the friendships, teamwork, and sense of belonging it gave her. Sofia played with humility and heart, always putting her team before herself. Even when faced with challenges, she remained gracious and supportive of others, choosing unity over recognition.
Those who watched her play saw determination and talent, but those who truly knew her saw something even more special — compassion, humility, and a genuine love for people. She celebrated others’ successes as if they were her own and believed deeply in encouraging those around her.
Sofia had a bright future ahead of her, filled with dreams both on and off the field. While her time here was far too short, her impact continues to grow through the lives she touched and the love she left behind.
The Fastpitch Fia Foundation was created in Sofia’s honor to carry forward the values she lived every day — kindness, perseverance, teamwork, and opportunity. Through scholarships, support, and community programs, we strive to help young female athletes pursue their dreams, just as Sofia was beginning to pursue hers.
Her story is not only one of loss, but of lasting purpose. Every athlete supported through this foundation represents another opportunity for Sofia’s spirit to live on — encouraging young girls to play, grow, and believe in what is possible.
